About Us
Meet "Lolly"
Born and raised in New Zealand, Carly grew up an avid reader who could often be found under the covers with a flashlight reading "just one more chapter!"
With a knack for words and a witty sense of humor she often found herself the designated writer at work, and has a string of articles, books, scripts, songs and skits to her name. Now as a mother to three grown daughters, and 'Lolly' to one granddaughter, she often catches herself narrating life in rhyme, and is finally turning that 'knack' into something more substantial.
She dreams of writing (and selling) enough to live out her days somewhere tropical where she can dream up new works with a mojito in one hand, and a good novel in the other.
Meet Kona
This loveable Pit Bull joined our family in 2013, and captured our hearts immediately. He loved walks, cuddles, meeting new people, rolling in the grass, roast chicken, and sweet treats above all else. (Hide your Twizzlers!)
Although Kona never barked and was super chill it wasn't long before we noticed he had some funny quirks and unique fears. He was socially awkward and clearly didn't know he was a Pit Bull!
As we fell in love with his unique needs (smooth blanket please) an idea grew to share his stories in a way that might help children identify and accept their uniqueness too.
